What Clients Say
We actively seek international volunteers to support the setup, facilitate sessions and bring innovative ideas and the opportunity for intercultural exchange.
Teach English
Our English Development programme complements the English syllabus used in the Sri Lankan school curriculum. It is fun and inclusive, and as a volunteer you will make a real difference in helping local children learn valuable English skills.
All the English teaching and Environment conservation programmes are interlinked, encouraging pupils to improve their English language skills alongside protecting the environment. All the schools and students we work with are mixed gender and vary from between 60 to 400 pupils. The schools range from primary to high school with children from the age of 6 to 18 years old.
Our aims to set realistic goals and achievements for Environment and English through a personalized programme for individual pupils. Such activity will be monitored and evaluated to maximize the success of the programme and the achievements of the students. This English Programme is able to operate in and out of school hours through it’s after school programme. In school hours the volunteers will act as assistants to the Sri Lankan teachers sharing their skills and experience.
Turtle Hatchery
This project runs an invaluable hatchery for sea turtles with the aim to protect the eggs and release newborns into the ocean safely. This is extremely valuable work and you will be making a real difference to turtle conservation in Sri Lanka.

Jungle Reforestation
Within this project, we aim to help re-generate the jungle in the Labuduwa / Kurundakanda & Kottawa and Galle districts of Sri Lanka to their original state. You will be working in an area with countless endemic and rare species, seeing flora and fauna that exists nowhere else in the world!
During the colonial period, large areas of indigenous rain forest were cleared for tea plantations. Since independence, these plantations have been nationalized and returned to the ministry of forestry and environmental department. However, over the last half a century during the restoration of the rainforest, the planting of non-indigenous pine trees has had an adverse effect on the ecosystem resulting in a further reduction of wildlife and indigenous plants.
Turtle Hatchery
All our volunteers are welcome to assist with our weekly river and beach clean-up programme. This programme aims to help restore the condition of local rivers and beaches in Sri Lanka and is unique in its scope and impact within the country. Guests from the local 5 Star Jetwing Lighthouse hotel may also join you on this weekly clean.
All the collected waste is either disposed or recycled. Volunteers are involved in the education of local school communities regarding responsible waste disposal.
